Cedar Fence ~ Weekly Photo Challenge ~ Walls

“…consider the walls you’ve erected and decorated…the exteriors you’ve…neglected. What do these walls reveal about…you?”

There is much I love about the still-life on this wall, especially when the shrubs around it add their softness and light.

P1040245 - Version 2In the forefront is a living pond with three koi. I spotted one emerging from hibernation yesterday and again today. A good sign. As with all gardens, this is a work in progress.

Perhaps I will feature photos of this wall again as the seasons turn.

Cedar has such a beautiful rusty orange colored wall and it brings light to the environment. Beautiful fence.

Thank you! I have been “rehabilitating” the fence for a few years now; thoroughly cleaned, stained, and replaced rotten wood slats, as you can see in one of the photos. My sweet four year old beagle who has lived at her forever home four months now, found every weak rotting bottom edge on the entire fence, so she has been helping me with this project!

  2. Quite an interesting wall indeed 🙂
