A serious el niño is causing record rainfall, serious flooding, and landslides in the Pacific Northwest. Yesterday a series of thunderclaps shook my home — ten minutes later a tornado struck a suburban neighborhood about 15 miles northeast (as the crow flies). Though there were no injuries, there was much structural damage.
I had hoped to get some photos of leaves blowing in the wind this fall, but now all the leaves are off the trees. Instead, I offer one of my drawings in homage to the end of autumn.
So glad that there were no injuries. Once a tornado hit a mobile home park where one of my female coworkers lived. We were very concerned for her. Turned out, she was away from home, having a good time with her boyfriend! 🙂

Weather events are frightening, and often unpredictable. Funny story about your coworker!
Good drawing. Hope things calm down soon
Thank you, Derrick. It is raining as I write — over 7 inches in a week!
