On my walk with Jello today, I spied this apple tree. Part of an abandoned orchard of pears and apples, they survive untended on land now owned by Bonneville Power Administration (BPA).
Clearly beyond their prime, the apples look like decorations on the now bare tree. Over the cold winter they will provide nourishment for birds, bugs and other critters.
