~ Weekly Photo Challenge – Life Imitates Art ~

“Life imitates art far more than art imitates Life.” When I change the word imitate to its first synonym, emulate which means to match or surpass, I find Oscar Wilde is spot on; Life matches or surpasses art more than art matches/surpasses life. Still, I love having art in my life since it evokes memories, and provides aesthetic pleasure when I see it. This painting by Jeffrey Hull is an example.

However, for me, being in the setting always tops virtual reality!

Both are inviting pieces, Lindy. Makes me want to get in the car and head over to the Coast. I can’t imagine life without either… The nature or the art.
