Not a lot blooming these days in my gardens; a few determined roses, and stalwart hydrangeas continuing their chameleon transition. Today I feature the last of the Rudbeckia with a few stems of sage and oregano in a handmade ceramic vase dating back to the 1960’s.

Rudbeckia fulgida ‘Goldstrum’, Origanum majoricum, Salvia officinalis.

Rudbeckia make such a statement, don’t they? I have had little success with the perennial varieties but the annuals have done well. Thanks for sharing yours
Thanks again, Cathy!
Nice shots, Lindy! 🙂
Roses are about all we have, except for a couple of others. Leaves are falling from the trees.
Rain and wind are making a colorful though chaotic mess everywhere around me. Ah well, it’s all part of natures cycle!
So gorgeous1
Thank you!
That is a wonderful burst of colour … and I love your pottery vase. Rudbeckia is such a rewarding flower and I’ve realised that I haven’t got any in the garden. So now I find myself with at least 5 packets of seed for next year. Whoops!
Last burst of summer from these gardens! Once you get some started they will keep expanding and create a gorgeous blanket of bright yellow from mid-summer to early fall. Good luck!
How lovely. You are lucky to have rudbeckia still in flower. A bit of sunshine in dark November.
All gone now!
