This fence is made of six-foot high cedar planks mounted on steel posts set into six inches of concrete. Originally meant only to keep the beagle in her own yard, it also provides space for an outside gallery.
In this section I have displayed a rusted out replica metal watering can (perpetually watering the fern below), the steering wheel from a tug boat that plied the Columbia River near here, a bird sanctuary bearing repurposed items, and just beyond it, a hay-harpoon from eastern Washington.
