As I sat by my pond yesterday afternoon, the sunlight streaming through this spider’s web in the corner, caught my eye. What an appropriate response to this week’s photo challenge I thought, as I ran inside to get my Panasonic!
Though I dislike walking into spider webs, I appreciate the value arachnids have in keeping bug populations down. With all the birds that live in this space, who knows how long this spider will last!

🙂 I walked into a spider web a couple of days ago and parts of it clung on for some time! It’s tenacious stuff!
Indeed! Maybe that’s why birds like to use spider webs in building their nests!
Great photo!
Thank you!
Spiders eat bugs, birds eat spiders and we eat birds – the circle of life! Excellent idea for the challenge Lindy
Thank you, Tina — this was one of those “oh what the heck!” moments. That you like it gives me hope!
Stunning photo! This is a great interpretation of the “corner” theme for this week’s challenge! 🙂
Thank you! I love it when nature shines a light at just the right time!!!
