One day at the beach Jello came upon a rather deep hole some enterprising young people had dug. She sniffed around the edges, then slipped down the side.
Clearly unhappy there, she instantly bounded out just as I snapped this photo!

LOL, lucky she could make it out. We’ve just instituted a ban on metal shovels on our beach due to the number of people who for some odd reason feel the need to dig giant holes 😦
The tide generally takes care of the holes in a day. Since this is a prime razor clam beach, banning metal digging devices is not in our future!!
