~ Cee’s Black & White Photo Challenge: Mirror images or reflections ~

Reflections and mirror images abound in nature, though taking out color makes this challenge more tricky!

IMG_E7681Jello paused just long enough for me to snap this shot with her reflection and shadow in the receding tide at Long Beach, WA.

Cee allows the use of sepia and less color-saturation in her Black & White Photo Challenges. These Pussy-willows, reflected in shallow marsh waters, are much more interesting with a hint of color.

Sanderlings at Long Beach

Sanderling At Rest – Long Beach.

With so many photos of bird reflections in my archives, it was hard to narrow down what to present here. Sanderling At Rest is one of my favorites.

Bald Eagle in surf at Long Beach, WA

Although the reflection may not be as clear as other choices, it isn’t often one sees a Bald Eagle wading in the surf!

Though I can’t say definitively what duck this is, the photo fares better with a hint of color.
