This Lens-Artists challenge from Patti, came just as I was on the way to our condo at Long Beach, for a few days.
Rain and snow from winter storms are filling the marshland, and tree frogs were croaking when I stepped out on the deck to take the above photo.
Soon there will be families of Mallard ducks and Canada goose plying these waters!
When the day promised more sunshine than showers, I drove out to Ledbetter Point National Wildlife Refuge near the northern tip of the Long Beach Peninsula, to walk the woodland trails. In assembling this post, I’m borrowing *Tina’s idea to include quotes. They express what I feel when I’m in nature better than anything I might conjure!
“Nature holds the key to our aesthetic, intellectual, cognitive and even spiritual satisfaction.” – E. O. Wilson
“Heaven is under our feet as well as over our heads.” – H. D. Thoreau
“To me a lush carpet of pine needles or spongy grass is more welcome than the most luxurious Persian rug.” – Helen Keller
Being in nature calms me, cleanses my spirit and fills me with renewed wonder.
“Because there’s nothing more beautiful than the way the ocean refuses to stop kissing the shoreline, no matter how many times it’s sent away.” – Sarah Kay

Nice post. Beautiful images and quotes.
It was such a lovely day and only encountered one other couple. Glad you enjoyed the post!
Beautiful nature photos and I like the Helen Keller quote most / the Persian rug does not come close to raw nature
Oh, I loved that quote and was glad the photos I had were appropriate to it!
Beautiful selections for nature challenge, Lindy.
Patti hosted this wonderful theme: https://pilotfishblog.com/2019/02/16/lens-artists-photo-challenge-33-nature/
OOPS! I haven’t been able to get signed up to receive Patti’s posts. I’ll try again and will correct the info at the top. Thanks for letting me know and I’m glad you enjoyed my photos.
Ohh! I love that ocean shot! Your visit to nature is very calming to the spirit.
