When I was 16, I bought the small book of poetry, A Coney Island of the Mind, by Lawrence Ferlinghetti (Copyright © 1958). With this challenge from Amy, I thought about his poem, “I Am Waiting.”  I hope you enjoy the excerpts featured here with photos that take great patience, and a good camera to capture!

Thank you, Janet. Hope all is well with you!

      • It is, Lindy, but busy as we’re getting ready to move to Arizona in March/April. So much to do and go through before then and then there are the holidays. 🙂

Oh, my. That’s a lot to accomplish in a short period of time! I dread the thought of moving, after living in our home over 35 years – all those closets full of stuff I’d be forced to deal with!!!

      • In my case, boxes of books! When we moved from our first house after 28 years and four people, we had to move in a week and both weekends. It was the most insane thing, but we did it. Even though it seem like time is flying by this time, we have months, which is much better. 🙂

  3. I had forgotten about that book! I’ll have to scour my poetry shelf because I never get rid of poetry books and it’s probably hiding in there somewhere. As always, I love your post.

Love your images and love your texts to go with them. The dear photo is a dream. Did you have to wait long for it?
