Always, my favorite places to get away involve wilderness, nature, water, and the sense of tranquility I feel when I am away from cities, traffic and jostling crowds.

Wishing everyone safe travels. Please be kind and stay safe.🐾

I can see why you love these dreamy places! So beautiful! But I’m wondering why one is called Cape Disappointment!!
Thanks for contributing to the challenge . . . And posting these marvelous photos.
Cape Disappointment was named by an English fur trader John Meares (1756?-1809) who was unable to find the entry to the Columbia River in 1788, and consequently named the north side of the embankment to express his chagrin. There is absolutely nothing disappointing about this lovely state park on the Washington coast USA.
It wouldn’t be a disappointment to me either!!!
That’s such a wonderful closing image!
Thanks for commenting! Funny how some images just grab you.

Great photos. I love the bird capture.
That was during shut-down last spring – had the beach to myself and the Eagles became accustomed to my presence.
