Sophia Alves leads our challenge this week with the theme of Night and Day. The golden hours of dawn and sundown are favorite times for photographers to capture the glory of our beautiful earth, and then there are all the other times in our daily 24 hours to find beauty. In this challenge, once again I am pairing photos with haiku and poetry from my collected writings.
suspended in rosy heavens
full Hunter’s moon drifts
toward tomorrow

secret dark night woods
underline dawn’s golden glow
clouds scatter luster

Light is Life (excerpt)
light-years radiate
far-away glimmer of wishes
beams from ancient dreams
spark a torch of hope

white-hot sun drifting
yellow corona glows
orange radiates

full moon floats upon
an ocean of foamy clouds
deep-blue night awaits

night-time companion
moon ~ master of ocean tides
mother of wonder

Love your haikus and images! Beautiful!
Lindy, this is terrific. Your photos are mysterious and enchanting. Beautiful poetry, too.
Thank you, Egídio. I’m pleased that you like both my photography and poetry!
Beautiful images and poetry. I especially love the pine boughs against the sky.
Thank you, Patti! I love that one too – just so simple yet profound.
You have such a creative soul. Wonderful poetry to match your photos. Thank you so much 🙂
Thank you Sofia. It was fun to challenge myself in two ways!
Lovely post Lindy – loved both the poetry and the images, especially those from nighttime.
Lovely – everything about it, Lindy. Well matched words and photography – favourite? The rosy first one is heavenly!
Thank you, Tina.
Thank you, Leya!
Beautiful photos of day and night. Love your poem.
Thank you, Amy!
Love the poetry that flows through your day and night. I especially love the last one, and the silhouette of the branch against the blue sky.
Thank you, Donna. It’s funny, when I see something so simple and take a photo, I wonder if anyone else will feel what I do when they see it. Seems to have touched a nerve with you!
Yes. I think if we pay attention, we CAN feel that touch by many things.
