~ Lens-Artists Challenge #380 – Whats Around The Corner ~

To jump start Lens-Artists this year, Anne encourages us to take a walk around a familiar block and photograph what we see. We are at our condominium in Long Beach, WA to start the new year right! Every morning, I take Max & Daisy (my beagles) for a walk around the corner to Seacrest Avenue, a nice residential neighborhood. Today the sun had overcome the fog and clouds, so I felt comfortable taking my Panasonic Lumix for this photo shoot.

Crow Silhouette
Shadows & Light

I had noticed this teal loveseat before, and with the shadow patterns cast from the porch railing, it was a delight to photograph.

Gentle Curves

Weather here can be harsh, with gale-force winds & driving rain, so little touches like the feathery grass and arched gate add a bit of softness to the view. And, I love the blue and white background bokeh in this shot!

Above, the gentle curve of a bent willow chair provides a subtle entry to this home. Below, a humorous welcome with beach themed motifs on the house and grounds.

So there you have it, a peek around the corner into the eclectic aesthetics of a small town neighborhood on the Long Beach Peninsula, WA.

On your walk with life, please honor our earth, encourage dignity and share kindness. 🐾

Lindy, your walk certainly showed us that there is always something to photograph. What wonderful finds. I liked the bench and the shadows casting a checker board design. Creative touches for this challenge!

  4. Lindy, you found some wonderful things to photograph on your walk. I love the teal bench with the shadows and the fence with the curved door and the grass.

Beautiful! I love the Shadows and Light shot. The others are fine, too. Good eye! Or eyes, if you have two.
