~ Lens-Artists Challenge #3966: Pick a Favorite Quote and Illustrate it ~

Ann-Christine provides a creative challenge this week asking us to pair quotes with photos. What fun! You can view her post here. I started by finding quotes from authors I have enjoyed over the years, and when I knew a quote would easily fit into one or more of my photos, I started matching them. It took me a while to find everything, yet in the time of searching, I read many inspiring and uplifting quotes. I’ll start with one from The Wind in the Willows.

“…when tired at last, he sat on the bank, while the river still chattered on to him, a babbling procession of the best stories in the world, sent from the heart of the earth to be told at last to the insatiable sea.” ― Kenneth Grahame

“May my heart always be open to little birds who are the secrets of living” — e. e. Cummings

“If men were to be destroyed and the books they have written were to be transmitted to a new race of creatures, in a new world, what kind of record would be found in them of so remarkable a phenomenon as the rainbow?” — Thoreau, Journal, 13 March 1859

“To plant a garden is to believe in tomorrow.” Audrey Hepburn

“Every sunset brings the promise of a new dawn.” Ralph Waldo Emerson

Thank you to Ann-Christine for this fun dive into quotes and photos that illustrate the message. So much more enjoyable than reading the news!

On your walk with life, please honor our earth, encourage dignity and share kindness. 🐾

Lindy, Lovely to read! Here’s one of my favorites (minus photo):

“Weeds are flowers, too, once you get to know them.” — Winnie the Pooh

Thank you for that wonderful journey, taken through your photos and quotes. Barbara Hollenbeck

  2. Lindy, I love your beautiful quotes and beautiful images. The Katherine Hepburn quote is one of my favorites. Your image is perfect for the quote.
