On Washington’s west coast, fog frequently creates a soft blur to the scene. These photos have a quiet calmness to them that I love.
I love looking at sunlight through the leaves of all kinds of trees. This one of the sun filtered through pine needles has reflections and refractions that I also enjoy.
Such hale fellows these perennial friends, as they shed dormancy with tender tips, bright leaves, and bold buds.
In the first hour of spring 2015, I made a photo-shoot tour of my gardens and found new life emerging. So much fresh growth greeted me — like old friends I am happy to see again.
