Cedar Fence ~ Weekly Photo Challenge ~ Walls
“…consider the walls you’ve erected and decorated…the exteriors you’ve…neglected. What do these walls reveal about…you?”
There is much I love about the still-life on this wall, especially when the shrubs around it add their softness and light.
In the forefront is a living pond with three koi. I spotted one emerging from hibernation yesterday and again today. A good sign. As with all gardens, this is a work in progress.
Perhaps I will feature photos of this wall again as the seasons turn.
Luscious ~ Weekly Photo Challenge ~ Orange
Oh! This lush hue that spans the wheel from just about yellow, to almost red — such vibrant tones — all of them orange.

Forty Acres ~ Sunday Stills ~ Agriculture
When I was fourteen, my Dad and Mom bought a farmhouse and all the outbuildings of a once-working, family dairy farm, on forty acres just three miles south of Pullman, Washington. The work, land, people, and history remain part of me now at the ripening age of sixty-six. This is one of my very favorite photos from those years, a lovely silhouette of Dad and his beloved horses.
Thanks to my sister, Lori Soli, this photo and many others have been digitally transferred and stored in family albums. Who took this shot? I do not know. Wish I could say it is mine, but I truly don’t know. It sure is a beauty though!

Owl ~ Weekly Photo Challenge ~ Reward
This week’s photo challenge is wide open for personal interpretation. We are to select a photo that portrays reward for effort; whatever that effort might have been. There are many tokens I have received over the years, but so what? And all the cycling trips Creighton and I took, and the three weeks in France touring with his cousins — all very rewarding, but somehow not on the mark for me right now.
In keeping with my philosophy to focus on BEing, I have chosen to feature something that came from me and felt especially rewarding to complete. Whenever a drawing emerges from the blank page, I get a wonderful, warm glow of achievement.

Stormy Weather ~ Sunday Stills ~ Clouds
Sometimes clouds offer a fine film through which light filters and bends, and then there are the clouds that cumulate and command attention!
