~ Mystery Rose and Friends ~ In A Vase on Monday ~

My roses are giving me their last bit of flower for the season. This one is framed by aster, Sweet William and annual vinca in a squat ceramic vase.

Rosa ‘Chrysler Imperial’

The tag on this hybrid tea rose says it is Chrysler Imperial, although the blossoms are always pink — not deep red as described in the literature — hmmm!

What a delight it is to grow flowers, see their beauty around me and bring some in to brighten my home. For inspiration visit Cathy at Rambling in the Garden and consider adding your posy to the fun!

Oh if it’s not what it’s meant to be surely you can get the proper one from the seller, or have you had it a long time? I am just about to contact the sellery of a mislabelled clematis. Still, the pink works well with your other blooms in a way that the red rose wouldn’t! Thanks for sharing

Pretty combination. The ‘eye’ on the vinca picks up the colors of the rose and sweet William.
