~ Mr. Lincoln – In A Vase On Monday ~

A few years ago, my Mr. Lincoln rose was almost dead — only one stalk was healthy enough to save. Now it is thriving and has provided blossoms all summer long.

Rosa ‘Mr. Lincoln, Dianthus barbatus, Hydrangea macrophylla

On this last Monday of summer, I feature these deeply colored and fragrant roses with bright Sweet William and fading-to-fall Hydrangea.

Thanks to Cathy at Rambling in the Garden  for providing the inspiration to find what’s blooming in my gardens every Monday. Soon, the only blossoms will be toadstools!

What a glorious shade of red Mr Lincoln is -you must be thrilled that it perked up again and contributed to such a pretty vase. Thanks for sharing

Such a glorious rich colour. That combination looks like a masterpiece painting.
