Oh, I miss lilacs! Growing up in Northern Ohio, I associated them with my birthday (May 19). We don’t have them here in Texas at all.
There was a lovely large stand in the yard on the farm where my family lived when I was in junior high and high school. Often it was the only flower blooming for May Day and/or Mother’s Day bouquets!
