After my father passed in June, my husband and I took a Road Trip Odyssey to favorite places my family had enjoyed in my adolescence, and to visit the cemetery in Wenatchee, Washington, where my maternal grandparents are buried. As we passed this sign, I knew we were almost there.

After visiting the cemetery we went to the house my parents had built and where my family lived from 1956-1961. It looks as lovely as I remember it.

The rest of this summer and into autumn I have been writing about this experience – revisiting places from my childhood and spreading ashes in sacred places. The project has taken much of my time and energy – hence not so many posts here (or responses to your posts).
