Here are some favorite close-ups from my archives.

Goose Barnacles and Feather
The photo above was taken at beach level of a piece of rusted flotsam covered in Goose barnacles, with a feather resting next to it.

Rhododendron
The light was just right to capture the delicate pink in this Rhododendron blossom.

Male Red-shafted Flicker
Flickers are flighty, so I was pleased to be able to get a clear shot of this one at my suet feeder before it sped away!

Daylily and Blue Sky
On opposite sides of the color wheel, yellow and blue create lovely contrasting compositions.

Frozen Bubbles
I love seeing the patterns water makes as it flows under and around the frozen edges of this small waterfall.

Tubular Moss
Moss has many different shapes and characteristics that are overlooked until seen close-up!

It is always a treat to photograph a beautiful damselfly up close. They are beautiful and beneficial bugs who feed on mosquitoes!
Thanks to Ann-Christine (Leya) for suggesting we take a closer look!
